Baby Love! Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop

Welcome to our February Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! Isn’t it always so satisfying when a niche stamp set or paper stack can be used for more than its intended occasion?  Although the Painted With Love Specialty Paper is designed to be used for those lovely dovey moments, I love that it can be paired with crisp white and grey and either pink or blue for a baby theme too.

We have had a few little ones born locally, so it has been fun to make some gift boxes, tags and cards to celebrate all these new arrivals.

I used the Painted With Love DSP and Sure Do Love You stamp set as the basic ingredients for each of my projects, but added some other little things to bring in the baby theme.  The Stitched Shape Framelit dies are always a go to for me, so I used them as the focal point for the greeting on each of my projects.

The Baby Card

A Basic Grey background was overlaid with some Whisper White Card and then another layer using the Simple Stripes embossing folder.  A circle of the patterned paper overlaid some Berry Burst ribbon which I crinkled up and adhered with Tear n’ Tape.  The greeting was from Milestone Moments with some gold glittery leaves peeking out.  I made the leaves by stamping in VersaMark, then heat embossing with Heat n’ Stick powder and then adding Gold Glitter to them.  I also cut out some of the gold foil hearts from the DSP and added them above, along with a strip of Pink Pirouette Shimmery Ribbon and some Painted With Love DSP.

The Baby Gift Box

This was made using the Lots to Love Framelit dies and a Sure Do Love You heart.  Again, the embellishments were the same along with a Berry Burst flourish from the Petals & More Thinlit dies.  The greeting is from the Moon Baby set, and is popped over some Gold Metallic Thread.

The box is the perfect size for our Narrow Note Cards & Envelopes but would also be great for a gift card.

The Baby Gift Tag

This little tag was to adorn the present and follows the same recipe of a ribbon background on top of the beautiful Painted With Love DSP.  I punched the tag using the Scallop Tag Topper Punch and hand cut some Memorable Moment greetings to pop up on the Stitched Shape die. A few more gold leaves and hearts to finish.

On each of the projects I used Powder Pink, Berry Burst and Gold accents.

It’s always fun to reimagine your products for other occasions so I hope this helps you get stuck into your Painted With Love paper and use it for lots of occasions.

Last month, I ran two competitions to win a Gift Bag Punch Board and the makes from my January Blog Hop.  The winners are:
