Broadway Birthday – Artisan Design Team Blog Hop

The Broadway Birthday Suite is a perfect all-rounder! Male, female, teen, child, graduation, promotion; they’re all covered with this beautiful suite. For my Broadway Birthday makes, I used some white and grey, with a mix of silver and gold, to make neutral Celebration cards.

Broadway Birthday Bundle

This is the beautiful Broadway Birthday stamp set and dies, which you can get as a bundle…

Broadway Birthday Makes

And here are my makes…

For the bottom Wish card, I cut the hand scripted ‘wish’ out in Basic Grey card and then overlaid it with the Whisper White to create a shadow effect.  I also added pops of gold in the candle flame and slither of patterned paper. The coordinating papers are a great mix of bright and subtle:

I pulled out the grey papers and paired it with clean Whisper White, and also some gold and silver elements to go with the accessories:

Aren’t they gorgeous?! My little trick is to put a sheet of Vellum Card over the paper to make the focal point really pop. You can still see the beautiful patterns but the embellishments and stamping take centre stage.

I hope you like my neutral take on this amazing bundle, here’s Stampin’ Up!’s bright version…

Rhoda! So many fantastic details, you rocked this. I love the absence of color in these monochromatic cards and the candle as the I in wish is genius! Lovely work.

I love the fact that you used something other than the bright papers. I like something a little more subdued sometimes.
I took your challenge to like you on your social media sites, but your Facebook connections are not working. I did find your page on my own. Love your work and look forward to seeing what you make.

These are just stunning Rhoda! The muted, monocromatic colours are just gorgeous and the use of the vellum over the DSP makes for a beautiful soft look. Love these! Rochelle xo

Love so much how you’ve used grey to soften the contrast of black and white in the papers. SUPER clever. Love all three of these awesome cards!
