Share What You Love – Stampin’ Up! Artisan Blog Hop

Not only is this an extra blog hop (which is exciting in itself!), it’s for an early release bundle of amazing products that celebrate Stampin’ Up!’s 30th Anniversary. These beautiful bundles are a tribute to the creativity and connections made by each and every demonstrator across the globe. I can’t think of a better or more fitting tribute. On top of that, the Stamp Set is so versatile and I had such an brilliant time creating with it.

New/Casual Crafter

For this hop, I was given the New/Casual Crafter bundle of Love What you Do Stamp Set, Old Olive and Grapefruit Grove Ink Pads, Very Vanilla Note Cards and Envelopes and a Clear Block to show you.  I could only use those along with a Paper Trimmer, Stampin’ Dimensionals and Paper Snips.  For a little moment I could feel myself itching to pull out sequins and dies, but I resisted and started stamping. It took me back to my early crafting months when I had a few supplies and everything was new to me.  I found a huge thrill in creating clean and simple cards with a few ingredients and pushing myself to try another and another.  It brought home the satisfaction of creating without much mess (!) and reminded me how overwhelming it can be for new crafters to handle too much product at once.

My Designs

I started with some one-layer cards, then I got a little braver and popped up a greeting and then added some hand-cut leaves and flowers.

Soon I was playing with inking techniques and stamping my own backgrounds.

If you’ve been crafting for a lot of years or have just begun, I urge you to grab this bundle (and only this), and get creating.  It’s terrifying, liberating and enlightening all at the same time.

Here are my five designs altogether…

The Perfect Bundle

This bundle is not only fun and challenging to use, it’s perfect for parties to use as a make and take bundle, as it’s affordable for a new crafter to invest in.  It would be wonderful as a class where the attendees made five or six designs and took the rest home to experiment in.  It’s also great for team days for quick and easy shoebox swaps or a card design challenge.  In fact, I’m going to challenge my team to each come up with one new design using the bundle alone, that they can then take to their own classes or parties.

If you’re a demonstrator, don’t forget that you can pre-order this before the end of April.  If you’re a customer, you can get your hands on this from May 1st (what a great reason to join as a demonstrator in the month of April!). Each bundle includes free items (the New/Casual Crafter bundle has the Very Vanilla Note Cards and Envelopes for free!) but this is only until the end of the month.  The Suite will be in the new catalogue but not bundled like this so grab yours now!

I’d love to hear how you get on using your bundle, or for my customers, what you think of it.

In the meantime, Happy Stampin’

Rhoda xx

Rhoda, I love how you challenged the avid crafter to use the simpler bundle and only the bundle. Giving limitations totally opens the possibilities to stretching creativity–your cards are just that, creative and oh so lovely!
