When a new Stampin’ Up! catalogue comes along, I eagerly devour each page but it usually takes me a few days to properly digest the contents. Every so often someone mentions something, or I happen upon new Stampin’ Up! products that I completely missed, even after a few good looks. So here is my list of my favourite new Stampin’ Up! products you may have missed…
My Favourite New Stampin’ Up! Products
Framelits for our Patterned Papers:
We usually have dies to cut out our stamped images, now we have dies that also match some of our patterned papers! Want to know how the images from the Birthday Memories Suite on page 68 are so perfectly shaded? It’s the patterned paper. Hooray for quick and easy card making that looks amazingly professional. (See also our Coffee Break Suite for matching up the tiny coffee cup die with the Designer Series Paper!)
Embossing Paste and Stencils:
This new Stampin’ Up! product is a subtle touch of genius. It can be coloured to suit any card, stamped into and spread across stencils. Imagine cutting some shapes from card stock with one of our dies and using it as a custom stencil. The options are endless! Here’s what the product looks like:
And on a finished card:
Warning: The paste dries to a very hard finish. If you do use stamps, stencils or other items, please wash off the excess paste with water as soon as you are finished. I would recommend a plastic tub with a few centimetres of water in the middle of the table whilst you craft. If you leave the paste to dry on your stamps they will be unusable.
So this isn’t actually a cake topper, it’s a lovely big interconnecting die but the first time I saw it I had a thought… Imagine cutting a few of these from Glimmer Paper or your favourite colour card stock and layering them together so that it’s a sturdy shape. Then just add a cocktail stick to either side and ‘voila!’; a beautiful cake topper!
Now the fiddly bit is the glueing together, so what if I told you that Stampin’ Up! are bringing back the amazing Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets? Just add it to the back of a piece of card before you die cut it. Run it through the Big Shot and then remove the plastic backing. No more runny glue on fiddly shapes or sticky fingers! For how to use a Big Shot have a look here.
You can also use it for packaging and cards 🙂
A Familiar Suite in a New Product:
Although Project Life Card Collections may have left us, our most popular design has been given a whole new lease of life with a new Suite to it’s name. The Whole Lot of Lovely Suite is so beautiful. I love everything they’ve put together and the beautiful stamps.
You may also have missed the Floral Statement stamps that are the same design as some of the beautiful cards from the collection. Perfect for watercolouring too. For more on how to watercolour, have a look here.
I loved our Sale a Bration offering of the colouring 12″ x 12″ papers and was delighted to see that one of our new Designer Series Paper packs is line art papers. Rather than the floral motif, the Just Add Color DSP is a variety so you can cut a strip or two, or use the whole sheet. It would make a great wrapping paper, little envelopes, card front design, is suitable for a child, teenager or adult who loves to colour, and paired with our Watercolour Pencils, would also make a great gift.
A Fun Stamp Set for Crafters:
My last new Stampin’ Up! product you may have missed is the Crafting Forever stamp set. I particularly love this one for all of us crafters. It’s perfect for the crafter in your life, as well as a gift to yourself. I can see this being used on my customer thank you’s too, there are a few people in my life that would appreciate these sentiments 🙂
If you’d like to sell your handmade cards or items, Stampin’ Up! has an angel policy which allows you to use their stamps, papers and dies on your projects. You just need to stamp your project with our copyright image somewhere. The Crafting Forever Set has one of those too!
I’ll share my new ‘helpful’ products list with you over the weekend, there are so many things you won’t be able to live without. I’m also sharing my top new Stampin’ Up! products for the beginner crafter tomorrow so check back for a read then.
