One of the many perks of going to On Stage in Amsterdam was the chance to pre-order new Stampin’ Up! items ahead of their release. This gives us a chance to design and create before the catalogue goes live, but also just to have the joy of crafting with new things!
I always surprise myself with what I choose to use. It’s generally not my most favourite item and the design usually just evolves as I go. That is what happened this time and it was really just sparked by opening the beautiful papers and needing to use them.
New Stampin’ Up! cards
I made two identical cards but just flipped the paper over and added a few more embellishments to one, which do you like best?
I used some beautiful new papers as well as our new Lovely Words dies and Lovely Laurel Thinlit dies. To ombre the letters, I cut them from Shimmery White Card (you could also use Watercolour Paper) and then used the Aqua Painter and the Calypso Coral ink to colour them. Just squeeze the ink pad before opening to pool some ink on the lid, then pick up the ink with the Aqua Painter and brush on. Put the most intense first colour down and then work up to the top, blending as you go.
I then cut the word circle out with the Layering Circles dies and added some flowers, leaves and bows to the circle.
I can’t link any of the new Stampin’ Up! dies or paper below until the new book launches on June 1st so this is just a little sneak peek of some things to come. I will link the current items used, as well as encourage you to go and check out our amazing clearance deals. We have got so many beautiful things reduced and leaving so please don’t miss a bargain!
If you’ve ordered from me in the past year (thank you xx) I will be posting your special parcel to you in May with your brand new catalogue. If you haven’t but would quite like a copy, I send complimentary ones to anyone who asks (the only caveat is that you need to reside in the UK, Germany, France, Austria and the Netherlands).
I’ll be back soon but in the meantime, happy stampin’,
(Got any questions, how-to’s or general queries? Just drop a comment below or send me an email, I’d be glad to help xx)
