Start Crafting With Stampin’ Up!

I love helping people start crafting! I really hope this page will help you find something you love that brings you joy.  Stampin’ Up! gives us so many different options that it can be hard to know where to start crafting, so here are a few choices and I hope it helps you find what fits you best.

How to Start Crafting with Stampin’ Up!

All-Inclusive kits

We have two beautiful card making kits which are perfect if you want to start crafting.  They include greetings stamps, a block, ink, Dimensionals foam pads, embellishments and pre-printed cards, envelopes and decoration for twenty cards.

There are two different designs to choose from, one is a muted watercolour effect and the other is bright fun colours. Both kits provide you with a stamp set to use time and time again, as well as a clear block and some ink.

1. Watercolour Wishes

This kit looks like this:

And makes all of these (with the ink, stamps and block plus extras to use again!) Of course you can stamp the greetings that you need and change the layouts if you like. There are a few of the more masculine colours too if you’re looking to make for male and female.

2. Oh Happy Day!

Oh Happy Day! cards are brighter (perfect for all the girls in your life!) and look like this:

And of course, you can choose the greeting you like the best and the ink, stamps and block can be reused over and over!

Whilst everything is included, I’d recommend some sharp scissors (we have paper snips) and Glue Dots to stick down your wooden embellishments. You can find and order our beautiful kits online here!

Project Life Memory Keeping (Photo Albums)

Project Life is the perfect way to get those special captures off of your phone and computer and into an album.  You just print your photos, grab an album, Card Collection and some pockets and off you go! You can also add an ink pad (I’d recommend Night of Navy, Crumb Cake or Early Espresso for a great neutral) and one of the coordinating Accessory packs to add something special to those pages.

You just put your photos into the pockets, write some special memories on one of the journalling cards from the Card Collection and then some stamping and letters to make it extra special. It makes a great gift but I’d recommend doing one just for you, for the therapy, the sheer enjoyment and to pick it up and wander through it whenever you like (and proudly show every guest who walks through the door!). There are different themes depending on what you’d like to celebrate (baby, wedding, holidays, everyday) and two different sizes of album (so you can go big or small and just choose the pockets to fit).

If you’re an instagrammer, these cards also make amazing props!

If you’re hoping to start with simple card making there are lots of options! My recommendation is always to start with stamps, ink and paper and see what happens from there!

Top 5 Stamp Sets by Stampin’ Up!

The Basics: Which Stampin’ Up! Ink Pad?

I’d choose a great all-round greetings set, a versatile image set (preferably with a matching punch) and some paper, ink and card.  Here’s one range of options:

Product List

Which would enable you to make countless cards and 3D items…

I’d recommend starting with an ink colour, coloured card or patterned papers, plain card and envelopes, a punch  that coordinates with your stamps (so no fussy cutting), a Greetings set and a glue like our Snail adhesive (which is perfect for card and paper) or our Dimensionals foam pads which will lift up your focal point and make it pop.

Recommended list:

Ink + Card / Paper + Note cards + Punch and matching Stamps bundle + Glue + Greetings set

Our catalogues have lots more bundles, stamps, ink and punches to choose from so just email me for a complimentary copy or look online here.

I’ll shortly be adding more to this page about our Big Shot and some of the amazing tools we do like our Heat Tool, Punch Boards, the Aqua Painter and blender pens, as well as our other kits.  Please don’t hesitate to send me a message if you’d like to try something specific or have questions, I’d be delighted to help.

All the best as you start crafting!
