Watercolour Thank You Card

I love simple thank you cards that have the ‘wow’ factor, and even more if the ‘wow’ is simple to do too.  This watercolour thank you card is quick and easy and one I made for my September customers. I thought I’d share the instructions (and video) with you too.

Watercolour Thank You Card Method

To start with, take a piece of Watercolour Paper or Shimmer White card for your watercoloring piece.  I cut mine to 9.5cm x 13cm.  I also cut a piece of Shimmery White card to the same size and a Shimmery White card blank at 21cm x 14cm and then scored it in half.

Make the inky background using the Aqua Painter and two inks of your choice.  I used Wisteria Wonder on top of Soft Sky. Remember to let the layers dry before you add another colour. You can see my other watercoloring blog post here.  This one uses two colours instead.

Watercolour Thank You Card Video

Here’s the method in the video below:

Add the die cut pieces to the front; I used two floral pieces from the Bouquet Bunch framelit dies and cut them out of Silver Glimmer Paper.  After that, I added a Whisper White Baker’s Twine bow using glue dots, and stamped the greeting using Wisteria Wonder ink.  The greeting was taken from the coordinating Beautiful Bunch Stamp set.

Here’s the final result.

I’d love to see how you get on with Watercolouring Thank You Cards of your own.  You can post a comment below or share them on my Facebook page here or tag me on Instagram.

I’ve put the recipe below and the new Host Code for October too.  Don’t forget that you get an extra host gift with every order when you add the host code to your online shop.

Thanks for reading and have fun making your own watercolour cards.
