I’m finally blogging again after a three month break! It has been a little bit unplanned, as our wi-fi installation was delayed and delayed but we’re into the new craft space and finally had a chance to make something again!
I’m honoured and thrilled to be blogging again with the 2018 Artisan Design Team. We thought we would have a blog get-together again and hope to bring some handmade joy to your day.
Clean and Simple Card
Our theme was completely open, so I decided to go in clean and simple and make a quick card that you can replicate very easily with whatever stamp sets you have to hand.
I used the Forever Lovely Stamp Set as well as the Itty Bitty Greetings set.
I stamped the leaf layer with Mint Macaron ink and then over the top with a Powder Pink floral image. The greeting was stamped with White Craft ink on Basic Black, and then embossed with White Emboss Powder.
A little note about the stamped greeting, going for a level neat greeting, like the one I used, helps the black stand out a little, but not too much. If you use a greeting with lots of curvy lettering you’ll end up with a lot of black card showing, you can see the difference with my Mother’s Day version below. For me, I just wanted a tiny bit so the level greeting works perfectly.
