Baby Love

Welcome to the Grand Vacation Achievers Blog Hop for April. This month our theme is Baby Love. We are sure that you will find some incredible inspiration from the projects that you are about to see.
You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog – Rhoda MacPherson or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting Rhoda!
I’m so glad you’re here!  A lot of friends have recently had babies so this month’s theme gave me the boost I needed to get some baby cards made and a little something else!
I love the DIY cot mobiles and wanted to make something with our lovely Stampin’ Up! goodies.  I used the Festive Flower punch that carried over from the Autumn-Winter catalogue and punched lots of the small and large petals in Blackberry Bliss, Rose Red and Blushing Bride card stock, along with some Silver Glimmer Paper and Silver foil.  I fixed some elastic thread to the inside of an embroidery hoop and used some velvet ribbon from our Artisan Embellishment kit.  Then I just used Tear and Tape to attach the petals to the thread.  I wanted it to look a little like raindrops.

I made a quick and easy card to go with it using our retiring Dotty Angles stamp with some Blushing Bride ink and then Silver embossed a Sweet Lil One greeting on some vellum over the top.  I added some Itty Bitty Punch Pack flowers with Pearls in the centre and adhered the vellum with glue dots underneath the tiny flowers.
I hope you like it and find some inspiration for an upcoming baby shower or gift you need to make.
Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don’t want to miss. Remember that currently you are at Rhoda’s blog, so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next in the list.
Please come and visit again and leave a comment and let me know you were here!
Happy Stampin’
Rhoda xx

Thanks Vanessa! I forgot to say about the sequins, they cover the thread but they catch the light and make patterns on the wall 🙂
