Quick and Easy Gift Bags

Everyone loves gift bags! At this time of year we all have a lot of gifts to think about. Whether family, friends, neighbours, colleagues, the list is long, so I wanted to share a quick and easy gift idea.

Recently, my Stampin’ Up! team got together for some crafty time and inspiration.  We hadn’t been able to go away to the recent Stampin’ Up! event, so we held our own. At these events, I would always prepare a gift of some sort for my team, this time was no exception so I made these little wreath bags for them.  Inside each little bag was mints, chocolate and a pampering tube of bath salts.

Our Crafty Day

At our event we crafted, watched some Stampin’ Up! presentations from the event we’d missed, ate food and swapped gifts.  We followed it up by going out to a late lunch together – I thoroughly enjoyed my day (in fact I fully plan on making the next one longer!)

Happy crafters…

Some food and fancy tea 🙂

And some presentation watching (with cake and tea)

Gift Bags – How To

To make these little treat bags, I used some brown paper bags from my stash.  You could easily make them with the Gift Bag Punch Board (see how here) and some Crumb Cake card.  Then I folded some Burlap ribbon in half and cut the ends at an angle and clipped them to the bag.  The background piece was some of the gorgeous Year of Cheer Specialty DSP punched out with our new punch.

I simply swirled some Metallic Gold Thread around my fingers and fixed with a Glue Dot and overlaid one of our little Wreath embellishments.  Quick and easy with a little sparkle!

This project was no stamping (gasp!) but you could easily stamp the bag with snowflakes in crumb cake ink or add a little banner across the wreath (I love the idea of both!)

I hope this gives you some ideas to try on your little gifts this year.

I’m compiling a little gift giving guide so will be back soon with that.  In the meantime, hope your festive period is warm, calm and full of crafting.

Happy Stampin,

Rhoda xx
